SpidChain wins the BNP Paribas International Hackathon

On June 9th SpidChain took part in the BNP Paribas International Hackathon. The event took place simultaneously in Rome as well as in other four international cities: Paris, Bruxelles, Istanbul and San Francisco. The SpidChain team was in Rome, predictably so, at LUISS EnLabs’ headquarters in Roma Termini. The hackathon lasted 48 intense hours, which ended with the presentation of the solutions developed with a three-minute pitch in front of a jury. The high quality of the projects presented pushed the jury to make the decision of awarding five teams instead of four as expected.

We are glad to announce that SpidChain was also one of the winning teams, with an app for identity profiling and identity matching. Rome also won the International Hackathon global hashtag battle, a 24-hour twitter battle, beating all the other cities after the final sprint neck and neck with Bruxelles, and that was the cherry on top of a great experience.

Our partnership with BNL didn’t just end with the victory at the hackathon though, and at the moment we are discussing the possibility to integrate SpidChain’s solutions in the services provided by BNL.
