The Blockchain: Hype or Disruption meetup on March 26th marked the 10th event of the series, a proud landmark testifying to the success and continuity of the initiative.
The 10th Blockchain Roma event hosted a number of important speakers: Vincenzo Di Nicola and Guido Dassori from Conio, Emanuela Manor - the Regional Manager for eToro - and Valerio Gallitto, financial consultant.
Vincenzo and Guido took turns on stage to highlight the so-called "best practices" for a successful startup in the cryptocurrency sector. They did so by sharing their personal experiences at Conio, a startup that launched their own eponymous Bitcoin wallet.
The event's moderator – Massimo Chiriatti – followed up by referring to Vincenzo’s past working experiences: he was in fact the CTO and co-founder of GoPago, a startup specialized in mobile payment technology, which was later acquired by Amazon, and has worked in Silicon Valley for years. He told the audience that he eventually decided to come back to work in Italy, stressing the importance of giving back, especially to one’s own country.
Then the regional manager of Etoro – Emanuela Manor – shared with us her company's next steps. Being a famous social network for trading and investments, Etoro will launch a wallet for the management of cryptocurrencies soon, among other exciting news.
The evening ended with Valerio Gallitto and his much appreciated speech on the needed strategies to correctly evaluate a token sale's potential. In fact, few ICOs actually fulfil their promises, and that's why it is necessary to know how to identify successful projects.
Valerio's speech was shown much appreciation by the public, and for this reason we decided to invite Valerio again to the next ICOLand event, going more in depth with this captivating topic for crypto-enthusiasts.
As many may remember, ICOLand is a BlockChain Roma spin-off, an event dedicated to ICOs and to the financial aspects of blockchain.
The next scheduled ICOLand meetup is on April 9, at 19:00 as always, in the Luiss Enlabs conference room. We're expecting a number of Italian and International guests!
